Prior to the tournament, the two lucky men Peter Martin and Otto Richard were given a special tour in Las Vegas accompanied by 888poker ambassador Chris Moorman as their guide. They dined at high-end restaurants and also had a great time playing golf with the legendary online poker pro. Also, they got some cool poker tips from Kelly Minkin and enjoyed a wonderful stay from November 3 to 7 at the luxurious Aria Resort & Casino.
Peter Martin
On November 5, 2018 (Monday), Peter Martin, age 24 who works as a warehouseman, was the first qualifier to see if he could win the $50,000 first prize, and he was on fire right at the very start. He first shot down Moorman's Queen pair with his A-K after flopping an Ace all-in preflop.

Later on, he clashed with 2018 Women in Poker Hall of Famer Maria Ho,
Martin got K-10
Maria Ho had 9 pair
Even if Martin bet hard on the flop and turn, Ho saw things through and got her third 9 on the river. Unfazed, Martin called a huge bet on the river that sadly cost him a great deal of his stack.
On another round, Martin seemed to get even he went all-in with Aces against Ho's Kings, but Lady Luck favored Ho more as a King popped up again in the river. Martin busted emptyhanded but oh well, he got the chance of a lifetime to play with the true-blue poker pros, and this experience he will surely never forget for a long time. Maria Ho then claimed the $50,000 top prize in the end after she emerged victorious in a heads-up match against Eli Elezra.
Otto Richard
On November 6, 2018 (Tuesday), Otto Richard, age 34 was the second qualifier to play against the poker pros. A France national who currently lives in the UK, Otto is no stranger to tournaments and have won some himself such as the 2017 WPO Dublin Event #11: €550 WPO Main Event for €92,000 ($110,166), the highest score of his poker career so far.
Now it's #888PokerAfterDark Qualifier Otto Richard's turn to take on Team888's @Moorman1 and 5 other pros. Will he be the one to turn $1 into a $50K payday? Follow his journey on @PokerGO... pic.twitter.com/O0m6tnSLrL

In the early part of the game, he had Kings versus Moorman's A-Q, and this busted the 888poker ambassador. After that, Klein and Minkin got busted, which left Otto to deal with Elezra and Tilly.
Bad luck for Otto, as his K-10 was no match for Elezra's Kings, causing him to lose the chip lead position.
Elezra busted Tilly who settled in the 3rd spot, whereas Otto was guaranteed $20,000 to take home, with a chance to try and win $30,000 more. However, since he's quite low on chips this was his demise as it only took one hand for him to go down. He went all-in with K-9 suited and Elezra called with J-3 offsuit. They both got a pair on the flop, but on the turn Elezra got two-pair, making him the winner.
Even if Otto did not make it to first place, he still won $20,000, a tremendous ROI on his humble $1 spend.
