If You Haven't Figured Out Trump's Endgame Here, You Must Have Been Out of the Country For 4 Years.

Donald Trump is as easy to read as a Dr. Seuss Book.  He has the "tells" of a first time poker player.  His threats, since his loss,  are as orchestrated as a symphony.

Donald Trump lost.  We all know that.  And he knows it, too.  He , undoubtedly, knew it long before we did.  The little drama that is playing out right now, the threats to go on another rally tour to stir up his band of merry mayhem seekers,  are part of a charade played out for the victors.

Trump can pardon himself, and probably will, on any and all federal charges pertaining to his feckless administration.  He will throw in pardons for his family and whatever other crooked fraudsters assisted him in his campaign to destroy America.  All this is fairly certain, considering who we are talking about here.  Constitutional experts say that, though no sitting president has ever used the pardon power to relieve himself, there is probably no reason it can't be tried.  If anyone would be willing to "try" it, this is the guy   And this Supreme Court, with its strict constructionists, will probably go along.

No, he looks to be A-OK on the federal level to avoid criminal responsibility for all the evil deeds we know about, and, more to his favor, the ones that will come to light once oversight has been restored in Washington.  That's not what he's after.

What the Donald seeks is a free pass on everything he has done in his entire life to this point.  What he seeks, with all his sturm and drang, is a pass from the state of New York.

If Trump can succeed in stirring up his white supremacist,  conspiracy-loving base to violence and unrest, he and is lawyers know that there is a better than even chance that the federal government can and will intercede with Cyrus Vance, on his behalf. They will do this to restore an orderly transfer of power.  No one wants to do this, but he knows they may be forced to.

That's the game, folks.  And it may succeed.  Anyone who noted that Gerald Ford pardoned Nixon on his way out the door knows that was done as much as a quid pro quo for his leaving quietly as it was for any other reason.

This will be a real "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation.  The Ford/Nixon pardon was.  However, if it ends up having to take place to get rid of this nightmare of a human being, I'd like to suggest one paragraph be added to any agreement.

If Donald Trump receives such legal relief, he must never appear on any conservative sight, grant any interview, use time on any network, to claim that a.) he actually won this election, b.) that he committed no crimes while in office, c.) that he and is family are victims of conspiracies  by Democrats.  If he breaks the agreement, all prosecutions can go forward.  Trump would never be able to keep such an agreement, so he'd probably end up being prosecuted anyway.

But, at least, he'd be gone...
