2016 WSOP Day 13: Mercier Wins The $10k 2-7, Millionaires in the Making, and The Razz Championship Begins
The lucky 13th day of the 2016 World Series of Poker saw Jason Mercier win more than just the title, bracelet and $273,335 top prize in the $10,000 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship.
The fields were whittled down substantially in the 2016 WSOP Millionaire Maker, a $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em event, and the $3,000 H.O.R.S.E., setting up the possibility that three bracelets winners and two new millionaires will be crowned on Tuesday.
Plus, the$1,000 Pot Limit Omaha and $10,000 Razz Championship events kicked off.

Jason Mercier Crowned $10,000 2-7 Draw Lowball Champion
Jason Mercier took down the 2016 WSOP $10,000 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship on Monday night, winning his fourth career WSOP bracelet, a $273,335 first-place prize, and hundreds of thousands more in bracelet bets.

The event drew 100 entries, creating a $940,000 prize pool. Mercier beat a tough line up that included five WSOP bracelet winners finishing in the top ten, and ultimately defeated Canadian Mike Watson heads up, denying Watson his first piece of WSOP hardware in what was his tenth final table appearance.

Millionaire Maker Down to 15
After three days of play, just 15 of 7,190 players remain in the 2016 WSOP Millionaire Maker event.
This unique event is offering up seven-figure prizes for the top two finishers and the plan is find out who they will be on Day 4 Tuesday.
After ten levels of play, Italian Alessio Dicesare bagged the overnight lead ahead of WSOP bracelet winner Jason DeWitt. 888poker Ambassador Sofia Lovgren remains in contention and within striking distance of the leaders.
Recognizable names that ran deep in the money, but failed to advance to Day 4 included Adam Levy, Alex Jacob, Max Silver, Mohsin Charania, and Loni Harwood.
Play will resume at 11:00 a.m. local time Tuesday in search of a 2016 WSOP Millionaire Maker champion.

Just 24 Left in the $1k
After two days of play, just 24 players remain in the hunt for the 2016 WSOP Event #17: $1000 No-Limit Hold'em title.
After about ten and a half levels of play on Monday, Danny Wong grabbed the overnight lead with top Welsh pro Roberto Romanello hot on his heels and Colossus II runner up Jiri Horak looming in the top five.
WSOP bracelet winners Craig McCorkell, Anthony Spinella, Keven Stammen, and World Champion Carlos Moertensen all busted, but 888poker's own Jeff Gross is still alive in this one, although he is the shortest among the 24 players left.
Play resumes Tuesday at 12 p.m. local time with plans to play down to a champion. Some $316,920 and a WSOP bracelet awaits the winner.

After two days of play, the 2016 WSOP Event #18: $3000 H.O.R.S.E. is down to its final 16.
Jared Talarico grabbed the overnight lead with a number of players within striking distance, including one-time November Niner Chino Rheem, Marco Johnson, and Eli Elezra.
Robert Mizrachi, Phil Hellmuth and Justin Bonomo all made the money, but failed to advance.
Play resumes at 2 p.m. local time on Tuesday with plans to crown a champion. A $259,730 first-place prize and a WSOP bracelet awaits the winner.

The $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Draws 1,106
The 2016 WSOP Event #19: $1000 Pot-Limit Omaha drew a total of 1,106 entries on Monday, creating a $995,400 prize pool that will pay 166 spots. A min-cash is worth $1,503 while $185,317 and a WSOP bracelet awaits the winner.
As has become the trend in smaller buy-in events at the 2016 WSOP, they got into the money and beyond on Day 1 with just 136 players remaining through ten levels of play.
Michael Luong grabbed the overnight lead with a group of well know players still in contention including Ismael Bojang, Darryl Fish, Dan Shak, JC Tran, Ben Yu, Mohsin Charania, Jesse Sylvia, and George Danzer.
Those who swung and missed in this one included Antonio Esfandiari, Michael Mizrachi, Shaun Deeb, Matt Stout, Noah Schwartz, Bryn Kenney, and Dan Kelly.
Play will resume at 12:00 p.m. local time with plans to play 10 more levels.

The Seven Card Razz Championship Kicks Off
The 2016 WSOP Event #20: $10,000 Seven Card Razz Championship drew 100 entries on Monday, creating a $940,000 prize pool that will pay the top 15 finishers. A min-cash is worth $15,464, while the winner will earn $273,338 and a WSOP bracelet.
Just 45 players survived the first day with David Benyamine bagging the overnight lead.
Stars of the game including Daniel Negreanu, Todd Brunson, Ted Forrest, Frank Kassela, Jeff Lisandro and Rep Porter were among the casualties, while Phil Hellmuth, Jason Mercier, Brian Hastings, Mike Gorodinsky, and Erik Seidel are still in contention.
The event's second day goes off tomorrow at 2 p.m. local time with plans to play ten more levels.
