EPT Barcelona: Pratyush Buddiga Wins €25k High Roller!

It took a bit less than 15 hours of play until just one player remained in this year's €25k Single Day High Roller in Barcelona, Spain. US poker pro Pratyush Buddiga bested an extremely tough field of 162 players to claim the title and $690,275 in prize money!

Once the final table was down to its last three players (David Yan, Adrey Shatilov and Buddiga) a deal was made. All three players decided to move all in every hand and let the poker gods determine who the champion would be. It only took 2 hands of all-in's before a winner had been crowned...

1st hand:

Shatilov 6Heart5Heart
Buddiga 8Spade5Spade
Yan KSpadeJDiamond

The board ran out JHeartASpade9Spade9Club6Spade and Buddiga took home the pot with a rivered flush. Shatilov was eliminated and Yan was left with only 460,000 in chips.

2nd hand:

Buddiga 9Diamond7Spade
Yan 8Heart4Heart

The 9Club6Club9HeartJDiamond10Club board meant that Buddiga was the winner, however, Yan still took home the biggest slice of the prize pool (€704,755) thanks to the 3-handed deal. Buddiga now has close to $5 millon in lifetime tournament earnings. His biggest win was a 3rd place finish in the 2014 APPT Super High Roller for $844,571.

Final table results:

1 Pratyush Buddiga United States €690,275
2 David Yan New Zealand €704,755
3 Andrey Shatilov Russia €606,020
4 Tobias Reinkemeier Germany €347,650
