Everyone Doesn't Hate a Chopped Pot, But Maybe Antoine Pinard Does

Antoine Pinard and Peter Sass were heads up to the flop. The board read {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Spades} and Sass had a bet of 10,000 in front of him.

The pot was only about 5,000. Pinard went all in for about 38,000 and Sass called. Sass turned over {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for two pair and Pinard showed {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} for a set of aces. Neither player held a spade.

The turn was the {2-Spades} and the river was the {6-Spades}, bringing with it a chorus of oooohs and aaaaahs from the table. Pinard said something under his breath and the pot was split between Sass and Pinard, who both played the board.
