Event #5 $100,000 No-Limit Hold'em | 2017 Poker Masters

The action folded to David Peters in the small blind, and he limped in. Daniel Negreanu bumped it up to 3,500 and Peters called.

The flop landed {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Peters checked to Negreanu who bet 2,500. Peters called, and when the turn landed the {6-Diamonds}, he checked again.

Negreanu bet out 5,000 and Peters now opted for a check-raise to 17,000. Negreanu folded, and dropped below starting stack, while Peters collected the pot and returned to starting stack.

David Peters US 196,000 -4,000

After a short delay, cards are in the air here on Day 1 of the Poker Masters Event #5: $100,000. Remember, the big difference for this event, aside from the buy-in, is that in this tournament hours are 60-minutes long as opposed to 30, and players are not allow to re-enter.

The majority of the players are sitting around the tables socializing, waiting for the start of Event #5. The tournament staff is just waiting for everyone to complete their buy-in before the action begins.

Although not mentioned in the original structure sheet, registration for this tournament ends at the completion of today's play.

Players are able to register once play concludes, but their entry must be entered before the ARIA tournament staff conduct the Day 2 seating draw.

Tournament Director Paul Campbell has stated that it would be wise that players look to register by the completion of level ten so there is no chance that they'll be locked out of this event, and that still would mean they wouldn't need to play a hand until Day 2, but yet still have their full 200,000 starting stack.
