BankrollMob Member Gets Free Entry To partypoker KO Series $1M GTD Championship Event!
We at BankrollMob are really excited about the upcoming $10 million GTD KO Series at partypoker! In fact, we are so thrilled about it that we earlier this week decided to surprise one of our loyal "Mobsters" with free entry to the $215 buy-in $1,000,000 Guaranteed Championship Event on Sunday, February 25th at 20:00.
Besides being a loyal member of BankrollMob since October 2014, Nikola Minovic is an active player at partypoker under the alias "StheP1973". He started his journey at partypoker in July 2016 after getting a free $10 bankroll from us and then managed to win a $10,000 Caribbean Poker Party Festival package last year! 1. How does it feel to freeroll the massive $1M GTD tourney this Sunday?
I recently heard about the KO Series. When I checked it out I noticed that 3 Championship Events have a massive $1 Million GTD prize pool. I told myself that I must play it at any cost and started to play a lot of satellites, with buy-ins ranging from a few cents to $44, but I didn't win any ticket
I was overwhelmed when I received an email from BankrollMob asking if I would like to play the $1M GTD tournament for free! I cannot find words to describe it! I just want to thank you guys for giving me this chance. This only confirms how awesome BankrollMob is! I hope I will make it to the money, because I don't want to disappoint you (the BankrollMob team) or anyone who reads this!
2. What will your tactic be in the tournament?
I will try to play my game and try to make good decisions all the time. I will do my best not to make any mistakes, especially because it's a big buy-in tournament with lots of good poker players taking part.
I must make perfect pre-flop and post-flop decisions. I will try to spot other players' mistakes and use it to my advantage. Also, correct bet sizing is important when I have good hands so I can win more chips. Whether I play loose or aggressive totally depends on what kind of players I'm up against. If they are loose, I would play TAG; if they are tight, I will play LAG. I will defiantly open less hands and see how other players play in the beginning of the tournament .
3. What will you do if you win some money?
Well, it depends on how big the prize is. If it's a couple of grand, I will buy some clothes and take my friends out for some drinks. If it's 5-figures or more, then I would probably buy a car for myself and give some gifts to my family and friends and put something aside (if something is left of it that is ).
If I win one of the top prizes, then I will host a Freeroll for BankrollMob regulars. Actually, I don't want to think too much about the prize money, my main focus is to make good decisions in the tournament. If it then pays off, I would think a bit more about how to spend my winnings
4. Any other KO events you are planning on playing?
There are a lot of satellites for the $55 and $109 buy-in events. In fact, I'm already playing those. But no matter how it goes in these satellites, I will for sure play a couple of KO tourneys aside from the Championship Events. In my opinion, partypoker made a very good decision when they created this KO series, I think it has a great value for tournament players.
5. Why do you prefer partypoker to other poker sites?
I was grinding for years on PokerStars, but when they started with all those cuts and cancelations I realised they didn't care about the players' opinions. I decided to try another poker site instead. I heard that partypoker was a good site and decided to give it a go. I'm very happy with partypoker as they have a lot of action 24/7 as well as a great game selection for types of players.
They don't have high rake like some other rooms have, they offer a good rakeback, amazing promotions and, most importantly, they respect players' opinions. Besides that, partypoker has many live tournaments with massive prize pools! partypoker is the true paradise for poker players!
We would like to thank StheP1973 for the interview and we wish him the best of luck on Sunday!
