2018 WSOP: Event #34: $1,000 Double Stack No-Limit Hold'em won by Robert Peacock for $644,224

Event #34 $1,000 Double Stack No-Limit Hold'em of this year's WSOP has been won by Robert Peacock, after he managed to outlast a player field of 5,700 entries, winning his very first WSOP gold bracelet and the first place prize of $644,224.

In fact, this was the 33-year-old poker pro's first final table of the year.

Peacock started the final table of the event 2nd in chips behind Joshua Turner. He knocked off Tomas Teran Paredes in 10th place and Jacky Wong in 4th.

Entering the three-handed play, Peacock had a significant chip lead. When they bagged up chips to return for the 5th and final day, Peacock had almost 4 times as many chips as Nicholas Salimbene. Peacock managed to knock off Joshua Turner, with pocket threes against Turner's K-Q to send him packing into 3rd place.

Peacock held around a 2-to-1 chip lead over Salimbene. A total of only 17 hands was all it took for Peacock to claim the title.
