2018 WSOP Main Event: Day 7 - Final Table Now Set, Joe Cada aims for Second Title

The final table has finally been set in the 2018 WSOP $10,000 Main Event World Championship. From a player field of 7,874 entries in total (the 2nd biggest field in the tournament's history), now there are only nine players left to battle it out for the championship gold bracelet and the first place prize money of a whopping $8.8 million.

By simply making it to the final table, each of these nine players has already secured themselves at least $1 million dollar payday, guaranteed.

Joe Cada already has a special place in the history of poker as the youngest main event champ ever, having become world champion at just 21 years old. Now, Cada shall have that golden chance to become the first ever two-time Main Event winner in poker's modern era. The last time a previous world champion came out on top in the WSOP main event was Stu Ungar's third main event win in 1997. Cada shall enter the final table with a total of 23,675,000 chips, or 39 big blinds.

The 9 players of the final table shall return the next day, July 12 Thursday for Day 8, 5:30pm local time. From these 9 players, only 6 will advance through to Day 9.
