This is a hand from the 2018 Triton Super High Roller Series Main Event — you won’t see what led up to this moment, but Tan Xuan has a 10 and he watched another 10 come out on the flop and the turn.
That’s exciting, but his opponent held a pair of 4s, giving him a full house. Xuan bet 33,000 and Peter Jetten raised to 120,000. Xuan knew something was up there … so he threw away his three-of-a-kind:
Xuan also had a similar situation later — he held Jack-10 and saw a Jack on the flop and another on the turn. But a Queen on the river gave Stephen Chidwick a straight with his King-10, and when Chidwick raised a bet to 135,000, Xuan folded his trips:
