Presque Isle Yacht Club donates $1700 to Erie Adaptive Sailing Experience
The Bayfront Maritime Center is thanking a yacht club for a donation to its adaptive sailing program.
The Presque Isle Yacht Club presented a check for $1700 to the Bayfront Maritime Museum Center's Erie Adaptive Sailing Experience. With the help of about 40 volunteers, the program takes more than 50 youths and adults with disabilities sailing for eight weeks during the summer.
Co-Director of EASE, Bren Lindell, says, "They're being good neighbors and being great partners for us to continue our program."
Ann Eisert, Even Chair of the Big Dog Poker Run, says, "Because we have family members that participate in EASE and we have yacht club members that are also helpers at EASE, we decided that this is a great organization for us to give our donations to."
The Presque Isle Yacht Club raised the money through its 'Big Dog Poker Run' in June.
