Who Went Home in the Survivor 40 Premiere?
It’s a season 20 years in the making, and it’s finally here. After months of anticipation, Survivor: Winners at War is finally here. And true to the theming of the battle of the best, it shot out of a cannon.
Though the season brings back 20 previous winners, you could mistake them for first-time players with the amount of anxiety and scrambling going on throughout the two hours. With both tribes going to Tribal Council in this premiere, we got to see how the dynamics of this cast have shaken out, and specifically how much they rely on Survivor history. The episode was filled with flashbacks to triumphs and follies from the winners, as well as the occasional off-show poker game. But by the end of two hours, the dust had settled, with two winners biting the dust and putting pause on their quest for the $2 million prize as they head to the Edge of Extinction.

Who got voted out in the Survivor 40 premiere?
Natalie Anderson
Winning Season: San Juan Del Sur – Blood vs. Water (Season 29)
Natalie wound up on the blue Sele tribe alongside her close season 29 ally and fellow winner Jeremy Collins, and the two seemed prime to work together once more. But fearing being targeted as part of another power couple, Adam Klein tried to direct the aim away from him, focusing on their pre-existing relationship. His tactic worked, as Natalie was the first sent to Edge of Extinction by a vote of 7-2-1. Her twin sister Nadiya was also the first boot in her original season.
Amber Mariano
Winning Season: All-Stars (Season 8)
Pre-existing relationships also played a role in the second Tribal Council of the evening. Though Amber was not playing on the same tribe as her husband Rob, his presence was certainly felt on the red Dakal tribe. When suspicions came up of a “poker alliance” from an event outside of the game, Tyson Apostol and Kim Spradlin scrambled to stay alive. In the end, Amber was left on her own, voted out 6-3-1.
