Papers: Barca’s hot poker, Pjanic no matter what, & Semedo’s offers

Wednesday’s papers bring fresh updates on Barcelona’s search for reinforcements and potential outgoings ahead of the summer transfer window.

Mundo Deportivo are all about Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic. The daily newspaper is reporting Barca are determined to land him “no matter what.”

Pjanic is described as an “important piece of the puzzle” for next season, and Barca want him even if they can’t persuade Juve to include players in the deal.

Catalan daily L’Esportiu is focused on right-back Nelson Semedo. They report that the Portugal international has seven offers from clubs across Europe.

Barcelona are considering letting Semedo leave if they can find a suitable alternative for the 26-year-old.

Meanwhile, Sport are talking about Barcelona’s game of ‘Hot Poker’ in the transfer market with the club having seven players they could use to bring in three more.

Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez and Juventus duo Pjanic and Mattia De Sciglio are the trio Barcelona want to sign and they may need to use their own players to do so.

The report reckons Barca have seven players they are willing to put on the market in order to sign the trio.

Defenders Semedo, Junior Firpo, Samuel Umtiti are mentioned along with Rafinha, Ivan Rakitic, Carles Alena and Arturo Vidal.
