EastEnders' Kush Kazemi loses the Slater home in gambling storyline

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders aired dramatic scenes on Friday (October 30) when Kush Kazemi's plan to save the Slaters from financial ruin failed spectacularly.

Kush (Davood Ghadami) has been struggling under the weight of crushing debts, with his gambling addiction only compounding his financial problems in recent episodes.

In Friday's episode, Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) joined forces to manipulate Kush in an attempt to run the Slaters out of Walford forever.

The two tried to lure Kush into a high stakes poker game at Ruby's club, but he initially turned down the offer because he sensed he was being setting up.

However, his addiction got the better of him when he turned up at the club later to return Ruby's money and the Panesars encouraged him to join them at the poker table.

Before long, Stacey and Jean arrived to try to convince Kush to walk away from the game, but he wanted to play one more round with the highest stakes possible: free rent for a year if he were to win!

"Please Kush, walk away… for Kat," Jean begged, with Kush insisting: "I'm doing this for Kat."

"Right then. A year rent-free, or you're out by the end of the week," Suki agreed. "Do you play or do you walk away?"

The next time viewers saw Kush, he was arriving back at the Slater house to break the news to Kat and her family that he'd lost the game.

"Don't you give me that face. Don't you dare," Kat demanded. "Tell me you're winding me up. Please, just tell me."

All Kush could tell her was: "I'm sorry, Kat."

The Slaters are now mere days away from having to move out of the Albert Square house they've called home for years. Where will they go?
