EastEnders' Ruby and Suki to scheme against Kush

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders' Kush Kazemi will fall victim to Ruby and Suki's scheming as his gambling story takes a shocking turn next week.

Kush (Davood Ghadami) became addicted to online gambling games during lockdown, but his habit has intensified due to the Slaters' ongoing financial worries.

With money still tight for the clan, Kush decides to flog Lily's tablet, but resorts back to his poker app when Suki reminds him their rent is going up imminently.

Kush's behaviour doesn't go unnoticed by Martin, who addresses his concerns about his friend's recent habits.

Although Kush brushes off Martin's worries, the true extent of his addiction becomes apparent when he later steals money from the till at Ruby's club – unaware that someone is watching.

Ruby subtly tells Kush to return the money afterwards, stating that she'll forget it ever happened if he does. Unfortunately, Kush makes the situation worse for himself by failing to own up to it.

Furious, Ruby goes straight to Stacey, Jean and an irritated Kat and accuses Kush of having a gambling addiction.

Despite defending Kush against Ruby's accusations, her fears grow when he ecstatically tells her he has won £10,000.

Overhearing Kush's news, Kheerat invites him to a poker night, much to Kat's frustration. Fed up, Kat tells Kush to clear the account and prove he doesn't have a problem.

At the club, Ruby is still reeling from the events of the day and is determined to get her own back on the Slaters.

Spotting an opportunity, Ruby visits Suki – who also wants rid of the family – to discuss a plan to run the Slaters out of Walford.

Suki proposes a poker game with Vinny and Kheerat at Ruby's and suggests they invite Kush, who is suspicious and initially declines.

However, when Kush later arrives at the club anyway, temptation gets the better of him as the Panesars urge him to join in.

Worried, Martin decides to play too, but when Stacey and Jean find out where Kush is, they desperately try to stop him. Will Kush listen or is he about to make a big mistake?
